I do want to share stories and travels and memories BUT for now, the first thing I am going to share is TURK TACKLES. My first published book! (Eeeeeeeek!) February 2026. I've been waiting for this moment and achievement since I was a kid! "The boys" aka my three amazing sons, are what made it finally happen. I want to leave them something special and it shows them to follow dreams.

This story came to mind when I think about my pup Turk. Turk came to me when my dad's dog (Cookie/Pixie) had puppies! I claimed him the moment I saw him. When I think of Turk, I think of my dad. My dad helped me save Turk after he became very sick as a pup.

Years later, I lost my dad (my best friend). It was one month before he was going to become a first time Grandpa. I'll never understand it but I guess Heaven needed him more than I did. He told me follow my dreams. His birthday was in February. The book will be published in February. The ISBN number purchased for this book ends in 22, our lucky number. That number was my favorite for no particular reason as a young child and my dad agreed it was a great one. It was his mother's birth year. The other ISBN number I got ends with 1946, my dad's birth year. The numbers aren't lying. Happy birthday Dad, thank you for raising me to believe in myself.

Let me know if you would like a copy! Turk Tackles can also be found on Barnes and Noble & Amazon KDP. Also, if you need a copy in a quick pinch (this story would make a great gift!), I will try to have some on hand for quick expedition! I am starting off with paperback and eBook but ideally would also like to look into a board book edition in the future! Baby steps here, this is my rookie attempt and I am learning as I go.

P.S.- My dad and grandma had impressive artistic talents. My dad tried teaching me. Some attempts went well but I was too busy taking photos, fooling around, doing anything but actually trying. Although my work doesn't quite compare to his and Grandma's, I created the illustrations for Turk Tackles! That's what my dad would have wanted. I hope you enjoy and smile at them.

Love,

B
